At the very start of my artistic education I used to paint a little. These were furious, emotional works using lots of paint and vivid colours. Caused mainly by my frustration with classic academy teaching that left one no room at all for one's own free expression.
Recently, during a period in which I did not feel fit enough to sculpt, I turned back to this early love and started working in acryl on canvas and paper.
I loved it!
My friends tell me that one can see the background that I have in three dimensional work: structure forms the basis of much of this work too.
I myself am a bit unsure about its impact, but am happy that I 'diversified'.
